What I believe
I believe AI only creates value when the people around it grow with it. My work starts there: building the essential human skills, judgement, communication and craft, that determine whether technology actually lands. I do this as a practising solution architect on the Microsoft stack, with agentic AI as my specialism, because capability building only works when it comes from someone who genuinely builds. Architecture grounded in delivery reality, mentoring grounded in genuine care, and an honest 'no' when something won't work.
Experience
The recent work, kept deliberately general.
Over recent years I have grown into a technical solution architect role, acting as a trusted advisor on large, complex delivery. I lead architecture, governance and AI-enabled solution design, turning tangled business problems into scalable outcomes, and I establish the reusable design patterns and governance that lift delivery quality and efficiency across teams.
A lot of that work is putting AI to real use rather than talking about it. I have used AI to accelerate backlog creation, documentation and solution design, and to turn ideas that would once have taken far longer into working solutions in a fraction of the time. The point is never novelty; it is faster delivery, better decisions and responsible adoption with governance in place from day one.
The other half is people. I co-created and scaled an essential-skills mentoring programme, lead certification and capability growth, and regularly coach consultants, architects and emerging talent. My core belief runs through all of it: AI should augment human capability, not replace human judgement. The work I am proudest of is teams who are noticeably better at adopting AI well, and who keep improving after I have moved on.
