Project Distil

Role: Exploration and design

Project Distil is something I am exploring: a set of Copilot mentor agents that capture consulting craft and put it within reach of people still learning it.

The idea sits at the centre of how I work. The hard part of consulting is not the tooling, it is the judgement. Distil would take the craft that usually lives in senior people’s heads and make it something a newer consultant can learn from while they work, rather than only in a review after the fact.

The thinking

It is capability building by way of an agentic build. Mentor agents would encode the questions a good consultant asks, so the technology reinforces the human skill rather than replacing it.

Where it is

This is an active exploration, not a shipped product. I am sharing the shape of the approach early because the thinking is the valuable part; the build follows.
