UK Fuel Price Finder helps drivers find the cheapest fuel near them, built on the live pricing data UK forecourts are now required to publish.
It started with a simple annoyance: it is oddly hard to know whether the price in front of you is a fair one. The site pulls scattered official data into one place and makes it easy to compare by fuel type, brand and region.
What it does
- Live price comparisons across unleaded, diesel and premium grades.
- Regional rankings and brand leaderboards.
- A journey planner that finds the cheapest stations along a route.
- A quick “am I being ripped off?” check, and EV charging cost comparisons.
Why it is here
It is a small, genuinely useful thing built end to end: data ingestion, a clean interface and something people can use every day. Exactly the kind of independent build that keeps my hands in the craft.
